Deborah Cox is giving you her best impression of Whitney Houston in a new clip from the the diva’s biopic

Lifetime may not need permisson from the Houstons to have Whitney’s music in its upcoming production after all! Producers found a way around their problems with obtaining music rights and clearances by getting another singer.

TMZ.com reports that Deborah Cox has stepped in to voice some of her biggest hits for the movie. The crowning jewel in this project is her rendition of Whitney’s “I Will Always Love You” from The Bodyguard.

Deborah is getting rave reviews for her version “I Will Always Love You”! It’s not a spot-on copy of the track, but Deborah can blow! See what you think when you play a clip of the track below!

    No one can duplicate the voice of Whitney Houston because she is a one of a kind but Deborah Cox almost nailed it.

    I think it to be something of a disserevice to imply/think that ANYBODY could duplicate Whitney’s greatness (she will always be “number one”)…with that in mind, I would say that this lady is a great “second”. A very good and respectful choice of artists.
