Jacque Reid talks to midwife Shafia Monroe, about Black women becoming Doula’s and midwives in order to reduce African American infant mortality rate.

“A Doula provides emotional support for a pregnant mother and her family and a midwife is a clinical provider. She’s responsible for the physical health of the mother,” Monroe says.
