Erykah Badu is the cover girl for the latest issue of Mantra magazine, and like always, we can’t get enough of her tantalizing spirit and beauty!
Unfortunately the soul star isn’t offering up sex advance this time, but she does give fans a candid look into her life as a mother of three and doula. In her cover story, the 43-year-old badass reveals about how she delivered her own baby because the doctors weren’t ready and didn’t have their gloves on.
“A doula is an empty vessel,” she tells the yoga and health-centered glossy. “Whatever is required of us, we are present—for the mother, for the father, for the family.”
When it comes to happiness and love, she says, “My medicine is being in love you know, I’m in love. And when I’m in love I glow, and my face is happy, and my heart is light and happy. And my children are happy.”
