This weekend, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Omari Hardwick team up for Power, a new show on Starz that features a drug kingpin James “Ghost” St. Patrick trying to go legit. OK, you’ve seen it before, but it’s summer and there’s not much else on until fall TV kicks off again.
(Of course, if you have Netflix, the second season of Orange is the New Black is available starting today.) And if you remember Hardwick’s hard body and love scenes on BET’s Being Mary Jane, we’re happy to let you know there’s just as much of it, if not more on display on Power. We’re just here for the tatts, Omari.
This weekend also features the Tony Awards, the annual awardsfest for excellence on Broadway with Patti Labelle, Fantasia and Gladys Knight performing. The next Miss USA will be chosen this weekend, the Spurs or Heat will move closer to the championship trophy and Tom Cruise heads into theaters with his latest Edge of Tomorrow. Read on for the rest of the weekend’s highlights.
