ATLANTA (AP) — Rapper Gucci Mane has pleaded guilty to a federal firearms charge in Atlanta.

The 34-year-old, whose real name is Radric Davis, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after reaching an agreement with prosecutors.

The charge he pleaded guilty to carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail and a fine of up to $250,000. Prosecutors recommended that Davis be sentenced to serve three years and three months in prison.

Davis was indicted in November after prosecutors said he was found in possession of a gun on two occasions in September when police were called to investigate his behavior.

Davis’ lawyer, Drew Findling, said his client has accepted responsibility for his acts and is eager to move on with his life.
