No matter their relationship status, Paula Patton says she’ll always have love for her estranged hubby Robin Thicke. The actress and newly-separated star opened up about her marriage during in the latest issue of Vanity Fair and she described it as “deep love.”
“We’ve known each other since we were teenagers,” the 38-year-old mom told the magazine. “All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there — always was, and always will be.”
She added that “he wasn’t my first kiss…but he was my first lots of other things.”
As we reported earlier, Patton and Thicke “mutually” decided to separate after nearly nine years of marriage in February. “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” the parents to 3-year-old Julian said in a joint statement. During an interview with People magazine in March, the “Blurred Lines” singer said they are “both doing well.”
“We’re both very happy right now – much happier,” he shared. “Everything about this moment in my life – this amazing year I just had and what I’m going through personally – has actually ignited some of the best writing I’ve done in a long time.”
