The tragic car crash that occurred in Austin on March 18 during SXSW has claimed another victim.

DeAndre Tatum, 18 years old, passed away from injuries sustained in the violent hit and run.

Tatum’s girlfriend was also injured in the crash. After being hospitalized, she was released on March 18th.

Rashad Charjuan Owens, the suspect who drove his car into a crowd gathered on Red River while attempting to escape the police, is currently being held on a bond of $3 million in the Travis County jail. He is facing one count of capital murder, guilt of which carries the death penalty in Texas.

Twenty-four people were initially injured in the crash; two died at the scene, and two, now including Tatum, died from injuries sustained.
