A few NFL legends returned home to where it all began to celebrate new and old talent at Grambling State University.

Sammy White (1976-1985, Minnesota Vikings) and Everson Walls (1981-1993, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns) were both spotted taking photos with fans and enjoying the University’s annual Black and Gold spring game activities.

Both White and Walls played under  legendary Coach Eddie Robinson and are members of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.

Grambling’s football program made national news last year when the players decided to boycott the season due to conditions of the sports complex. Former McNeese State tight ends coach, Broderick Fobbs has taken over as head coach of the Tigers. Fobbs is a second-generation graduate of Grambling and also played under Coach Robinson.
