Idris Elba walked the red carpet with his very pregnant girlfriend Naiyana Garth at the 71st Annual Golden Globes last night. Even though the British actor will always be our chocolate thunder, we must admit that the lovebirds looked stunning together.
The Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom star wore a dark blue Gucci tux. (We were kind of disappointed he didn’t wear one of those bow ties that he recently joked turned him on!) And his lovely lady graced the event in a mother-to-be glow and black gown by British maternity-wear designer Tiffany Rose.
This was our first formal introduction to Naiyana, who reportedly started dating Elba last March. She tagged along with the him at Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year awards in London last November, but she had yet to make a debut among the eye candy’s die-hard American fans.

1. As you can cleary see in the pics, Naiyana Garth is prego with Idris’ baby. This will be the first child for the couple and the second for the actor. He has an 11-year-old daughter named Isan from his marriage to ex-wife Dormowa Sherman. They live in Atlanta.
A source told Britain’s Sunday Mirror that Idris was “thrilled” about Naiyana’s pregnancy news.
2. According to
a Google search, Naiyana is British just like her Golden Globe-winner boyfriend. She is described as “a London-based professional hair and make-up artist with extensive experience in Fashion, Film, special effects/prosthetics, Body Painting and Bridal.” Her clients included film and TV stars in the UK like Jamie Oliver, Rupert Everett, Simon Bird, Freddie Fox, and of course her new baby daddy.
3. According to UK’s
Daily Mail, Naiyana’s online presence went MIA after the news of her relationship with Idris went public. “Strangely, as soon as news broke of their romance Naiyana’s Twitter feed disappeared from the site while her personal web page, Naiyanamakeuphair.com, is now listed as being ‘under construction,’” the site reports.
4. She’s a real girl who went to college and worked her way up in her profession. She
reportedly attended Waldegrave School for Girls in London, then West Thames College in West London. Her career in make-up artistry started with humble beginnings at local mall counters.
