Madea watch your back. Miss Hattie Mae Love is in town. The popular character from Tyler Perry’s stage plays is now the center of a new sitcom on OWN, “Love Thy Neighbor” which premieres tonight. On the show, Hattie May Love plays the owner of Love’s Diner. The former ringmaster of Universal Soul Circus is now the star of her own show and she promises to be a character that you won’t soon forget.

“House of Payne” star Palmer Williams Jr. returns as Floyd on the show, which also stars Zulay Henao (“Takers”) as Marianna and Johnathan Chase (“Revenge”) as Sam.

In the first episode Hattie becomes annoyed by her grandson Danny’s money grubbing so he uses his newly acquired college degree to get a job, and Uncle Floyd sees Linda’s husband out with someone else.

  1. The Have’s & the Have Not’s was really good. Love Thy Neighbor, not so much. Do we really need another Madea ? It’s like two sitcoms in one & the one we could really do without. It’s just been done to death Tyler. Expected better.

  2. So ready for Ms Hattie! Last night Have and Have Nots was the bomb had to watch it twice to make sure I did not miss anything……… TP keep on keeping on with what you doing WE need both a little drama and much more humor! so loving your work with Ms O……….GREAT interview by the way…..
