Circumstantial childlessness is when women are unable to have children due to health reasons, financial insecurity, lack of a partner or other reasons that prohibit them from having children.

    Circumstantial childlessness is a concept that many people don’t think about. When someone hears that you are not a parent, they immediately start making judgments on the reason why. Perhaps if someone would ask if you are a mother before wishing you a Happy Mother’s Day, it would ease some of the grief or other forms of loss being experienced.
