Kerry Drake is thankful after United Airlines delayed his connecting flight to Lubbock, TX so he would have the chance to see his dying mother.
Back on January 24, 2012, the San Francisco resident learned that his mother was dying. He booked a trip to Lubbock immediately, however, after his first flight was delayed, it dwindled his chances of making his connecting flight in Houston.
However after learning about Drake’s situation United Airlines decided to delay his flight so he could have one more chance to say goodbye to his mother before she died.
Drake told CNN, he was able to spend one night with his mother before she died at 4 a.m. the next morning. (Watch the full report above)
