MCKINNEY, Texas (AP) — Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and his estranged wife, Pilar, must share custody of their three children pending the couple’s divorce.
A judge in McKinney on Wednesday also gave the ex-Dallas Cowboy exclusive rights to determine the children’s primary residence and make education decisions. The children range in age from 9 to 12.
The Dallas Morning News says each parent sought full custody but must now alternate weeks with their children. Sanders, an NFL Network analyst, must also pay $108,000 in fees for an attorney representing the children.
The family previously shared a mansion in Prosper, about 30 miles north of Dallas. A scuffle last April led to allegations of assault. A judge later ruled that neither spouse committed domestic violence.
The Sanders divorce trial is set for March.
