When white children go missing the nation knows it. Think of Caylee Anthony or any other recently publicized case. But when it comes to missing black children, the mainstream media often ignores their cases. In 2005, Scripps-Howard News Service conducted its own study which concluded that missing white children were covered in 67% of dispatches on the Associated Press national news wire and in more than 76% of reports of missing children on CNN.
