Keke Palmer’s just 18, but while you were sleeping, she was earning money. This holiday weekend the young actress/ singer stars in “Rags” the latest update on the Cinderella story. “Rags” premieres on Nickelodeon on Monday May 28 at 8 p.m. Nick Cannon, who is already in the Nickelodeon family, is an executive producer.
“Rags” follows superstar Kadee Worth (Palmer) who is growing tired of her manufactured image and wants more creative control over her career. Charlie Prince (Max Schneider) is an orphan living in New York with his mean stepfather and stepbrothers. He wants to be a singer, but although he’s talented, he can’t find an outlet and he gets no support at home. True to the Cinderella (or maybe Cinderfella) legend, the two find each other and it changes both of their lives.
“Rags” comes with music, of course, and there’s a soundtrack that is available via all digital outlets now. Here’s the full track listing:
