Monica Wants to Give Fans ‘New Life’

Singer Monica has just released her latest CD “New Life” and she wants her fans to have their chance at one, too. Once known for dating men who lead troubled lives (one of her exes committed suicide, another, rapper Corey “C-Murder” Miller is serving a life sentence for murder and the father of her two sons was reportedly cheating) she’s now happily married to Phoenix Suns basketball star Shannon Brown.

Monica’s “New Life” contest asks fans to upload video or tell their story via her official website and let her know what they would do with their new lives if they had the chance to win. Entrants must be at least 18 years old as of February 28, 2012. Monica wants to know how you’ve bettered your life or someone else’s and she says she’ll personally read or watch your story. Prizes include a $3,000 JETSETTER gift card and 1 of 11 $100 gift cards for The Cheesecake Factory. You can enter until 11:59 p.m. on April 17th and take a look at submissions and vote on them.

Monica’s sixth studio album “New Life” featuring the single “It All Belongs to Me” with Brandy, is in stores and available via iTunes and other download sites. Rick Ross and Wale are also on the CD.
