Former NBA player Amar’e Stoudemire, who is married with four kids, is reportedly being sued by a Miami woman who says he’s the father of her 1-year-old child.

According to the Miami Herald, 36-year-old Quynn Lovett “wants a Broward County family court judge to affirm Stoudemire’s paternity of her 1-year-old daughter, Zoe Renee, and she wants permanent child support as well as full custody.”

Stoudemire, who retired in 2016 and currently plays for Hapoel Jerusalem of the Israeli Basketball Premier League and the EuroCup, claims in court papers that he had been paying Lovett $4,333 a month in temporary child support.

Calling her lawsuit “frivolous,” the 6-foot-10 athlete says in court papers he was “informed of his paternity several months after the child was born.”

Lovett says Stoudemire hasn’t been involved with Zoe’s day-to-day life and didn’t pitch in on any of her $11,000-plus maternity bills.

Stoudemire countered that, in addition to the voluntary child support payments, he has paid her $22,500.

According to court documents, Lovett is unemployed and not seeking employment because she wants to focus on raising the child. Her 2016 income was $2,983, until Stoudemire started sending her money.
