UPDATE: One man has been arrested in the murder of Trinity Love Jones, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has announced. Emiel Lamar Hunt, most recently of Los Angeles County and believed to be Jones’ mother’s boyfriend, has been taken into custody and charged with one count of murder.

Smith was caught while sleeping in his vehicle in a lot near the San Diego airport. Hunt’s bail was set at $2 million. Police say they are seeking a second person of interest in the case but have provided no further details. Jones’ family says that person is Jones’ mother, Taquesta Graham.

According to public records and published reports, Graham, 28, is a registered sex offender, has a long history of prostitution arrests and served almost five years for enticing a minor female for prostitution. Hunt served ten years for abusing his biological son.

Hunt’s father, a church elder in San Diego, according to NBC San Diego, says if he son committed the crime, he must suffer the consequences. He has not been in touch with his son in years, he told NBC San Diego.

“He wanted to do what he wanted to do and we have rules and regulations here. He couldn’t abide by rules and regulations so we don’t have any contact [for years],” Hunt’s father said, adding that he is praying for both his son and Jones’ family.

Graham and Hunt posted together in several pictures on Facebook.

Family members say that Graham has been arrested, but that is has not been confirmed by the sheriff’s department at this time.

“Words can’t explain what I’m feeling right now,” Anthony Jones said, reported KTLA, at the site where his daughter was found which has become a memorial. “I just want answers. I just want justice. She was just the best — full of character, full of life, full of joy.”
