Now that the full R. Kelly interview with CBS’ Gayle King has happened, most people recognize the levels of denial he appears to be in. Not only did Kelly refer to his “past” without directly admitting to sex with underage girls, he also, at one point, cried and then stood up and over Gayle as he got emotional over what he describes as a character assassination.

Embattled singer R. Kelly has come out swinging in new interview he conducted with CBS’ Gayle King. In the emotional interview, Kelly, who has now been arrested and bailed out on child abuse charges, says he’s innocent of what he’s been accused of but does mention he’s being judged by his “past.”
In the clip provided by CBS, Kelly says he’s “fighting for his life.”
