Officer Sherry Hall’s call over the police radio that she’d been shot had fellow cops swarming a dark, wooded area in Georgia in search of a suspect.

According to Dayton Daily News, Hall described her attacker as a 6-foot, 230-pound Black man wearing a green shirt and black pants. She claimed that the man unprovoked, pulled out a gun and opened fire. The bullet was found lodged in her protective vest.

But, the news reports that Hall’s claim turned out to be completely made up. After hearing evidence, including Hall’s own testimony, a jury recently convicted the former cop of 11 criminal charges, including making false statements, violating her oath and tampering with evidence.

Hall, 43, was sentenced to 15 years in prison followed by another 23 years on probation.

White America has done so much nasty, evil things to people of color for 400 plus years. No repentance or saying sorry.LOCK THEM ALL UP AND THROUGH AWAY THE KEY!!Would lynching and castration be too much…like they did our ancestors???

Finally, the judges are getting the memo. The judge probably realized how her actions could have gone south, and caused the death of an innocent man. This woman’s brother said that the punishment was too harsh because his sister committed a non-violent crime, and that she’s scared of prison, which is why she didn’t take a plea deal of 5 years. This dingbat shot herself, which is a crime in itself. Especially during the commission of another crime like, framing an innocent black man. She is right where she belongs. In her 6×8 jail cell. Now, go frame that!

  3. Who shot her? Why did she lie? It’s a good thing there was no black man who just happened to be in the area they were searching. 15 years should give this hag enough time to think about how she could have gotten an innocent person killed.

  4. Christianforreal, first, she was no rookie in terms of being a police officer – – she had worked for two other agencies before coming to this one; and two, the only shooting was that of her shooting at her own vest….there never was a Black man in dressed in green and black. And yes, the story does sound fishy – – hers!! That’s why she was convicted. If you pull up the story in other places, you can read the full details.

This article doesn’t say what the nature of the shooting was. What was she doing in Camillia court? Was this her personal residence? How had she encountered this gun man? If she was out on a call, why would a 3 month rookie be out on a call alone? This whole case sounds a lot fishy to me!!!

At age 43, she was a 3 month rookie?? Where’d you learn that? And if it is true, why was she hired in the first place?

  6. Had this been 1818, 1918, 1928-1978 etc. white men in hoods, with guns and rope, would have found an innocent Black man…beat him senseless, torture him, hung him, then set him on fire with his pants down around his ankles. This is the kind of BULL SHIT that Black men and women have had to endure in this country.
