This year’s TV upfronts – where the networks announce their upcoming slate of new TV shows was disappointing in some respects as many of the Black shows weren’t granted the greenlight to move forward. But a few shows remained that do have Black lead actors.
One of them has an interesting premise. Brandon Michael Hall stars in God Freinded Me about a man, Miles Finer, who is a podcast host and an atheist. But when someone named God “friends” him on Facebook, he’s forced to see that maybe God works in mysterious ways.
CBSj as you may remember, has a track record of making spiritually centered shows hits. Touched By An Angel, starring Roma Downey as an angel and Della Reese as her supervisor ran on the network for nine years.
