In a recent interview on Conversations with Maria Menounos, a SiriusXM podcast, Ashanti revealed an incident in which a music producer wanted more than just her music.
Hot New Hip Hop, explained how the incident got worse after she said no to multiple advances from this producer. “And once I said ‘no,’ all of a sudden the track became $45K,” said Ashanti.
From that she called him out for raising the price because she said no to his sexual advances. He then suggested that they take a shower together as a form of payment for her music.
Not much is known whether Ashanti stuck it to him or kept her anger to herself; however, she did ask her big brother to scare the producer which resulted in the singer receiving three free beats that also included two in which the producer mixed and mastered himself.
