The Love Galore singer SZA is throwing away the key on her music career after she makes her last album. With it not even being a year since the release of her first album Ctrl which became a hit, the news comes as a shock to many.
Entertainment reports while doing an interview and photo shoot with Flaunt the 27-year-old singer revealed that she’d be leaving the music industry.
“I’m still miserable,” she expressed. “My world got so much smaller so fast. I have so much to write about. I feel like I’m in a cage. I’m making the best album of my life for this next album and I know that… because it’s going to be my last album.”
After being nominated for 5 Grammys this year and not winning any, SZA had no hard feelings about missing out. She said, “God didn’t give me the Grammys, because he knows I would have quit, like ‘I have nothing else to do.”
For sure devastating words for SZA fans who fell in love with her music to hear. But who knows, maybe she’ll have a change of heart. It could happen. If you’d like to read the rest of her interview with Flaunt, click here.
