Reggie Osse, better known as Combat Jack the Hip Hop podcaster has passed away at the age of 48 to colon cancer on December 20.
One of the most recognized names in the Hip Hop business, the former attorney turned podcaster’s show The Combat Jack Show reached so many people with a discussion of the Hip Hop world and interviews with Hip Hop stars. His show marked the beginning of podcasts dedicated to the art of rap.
Osse fell into the podcast world back in 2011 after working as a lawyer and editor for The Source Magazine. In October of 2017, Osse announced his diagnosis of colon cancer to his fans when he missed a week of his podcast.
He told listeners, “Internet what’s up? It’s your man Combat Jack. In 7 years of podcasting, I’ve never missed an episode. I got hit with some real life sh*t. I was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.” He continued, “I was rushed to the hospital, had some pretty severe surgery,” he continued. “I’m on the mend right now. I’m about to jump on this journey to health with chemo and alternative medicine.”
As the news of Osse death hit the Hip Hop world, many have shown their love and admiration for the famed podcaster and attorney through social media.
