LeBron James‘ hometown of Akron, Ohio has given the okay to build a public school in partnership with his foundation.

USA Today reports that the Akron, Ohio school district has partnered with The LeBron James Family Foundation who say the “I Promise” school will be dedicated to helping and educating students at risk of failing.

Having longer days, the school is set to have classes in the summer well before other schools in hopes of fostering better information retention.

Opening next fall to third and fourth graders, the school hopes to gradually add more grade levels in the future. The “I Promise” programs created by the foundation encourages kids to stay in school which is what this new school is looking to do.

The school district approved the plan on November 27, 2017.
