Two thieves who have been targeting an elderly woman’s house, robbing it twice may not have been aware of cameras recording them.
“I shouldn’t be afraid to live in my own house,’ says 70-year-old Lillian Williams who was shaken up by the intruders in her home.
Caught on video, the two men were stealing anything they could get their hands on.
The second robbery happened during the day while Williams was at work.
Her son, Maurice Williams told Fox 2 News in an interview that, “A lot of these young guys in this neighborhood, they’re not doing anything with themselves and they’re trying to take from others.”
Detroit police are currently investigating the crime and are reaching out to the public with images from the video to help find the thieves.
Maurice Williams expressed the importance of getting the message out that this type of crime is happening in the community. Maurice explained, “My mother has been in this neighborhood since 1976. She’s still a working woman at 70 years old. She shouldn’t have to go through this.”
