During her sit down with “The Late Late Show With James Corden,” actress Zoe Saldana revealed that she got the face of her husband Marco Perego tattooed on her side.
“I did and it’s here,” she said pointing to her left rib. “We’re those kind of people,” Saldana explained. “Oh, come on, be happy for us. He’s had my face on his arm, so it’s only fair.”
The 38-year-old mother of twins Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio said the ink was two years in the making. “You want it to be in a place that’s private, that you only show when you’re, like, in a bathing suit,” Saldana shared. “And I’ve been wanting to get it for two years … but I finally got it.”
Saldana also explained how she did a Google search to find the perfect permanent image of her hubby: “I remember when I first started dating Marco and I went online because I know he’s was an artist,” she added. “So I looked him up and a picture came up. I thought it was a nice profile of his so that was the picture I wanted to have.”
While Perego got inked first, Saldana revealed that the couples tats idea was her idea. “I was the one who was going to do it in the first place, but we get our tattoos with an amazing artist called Mark Mahoney. Every time we go for me, Marco would end up convincing me that I didn’t have to get it so that he can get a new tattoo.”
Saldan’s latest film “Live By Night” opens Jan. 13.
