The cast of Fox 2000’s “Hidden Figures” is headed to the White House.

First Lady Michelle Obama will host a screening of the film at the White House today (Dec 15) with stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae and Kevin Costner scheduled to attend.

“Hidden Figures” follows the brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the key scientists on the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit in 1962, becoming the first American to orbit the Earth.

Henson plays Katherine Johnson, while Octavia Spencer portrays Dorothy Vaughan and Janelle Monae plays Mary Jackson.

The film is directed by Theodore Melfi from a screenplay by himself and Allison Schroeder, based on the book by Margot Lee Shetterly. Pharrell Williams wrote original songs for the movie and composed the score with Hans Zimmer.

Melfi and Williams will also be in attendance, along with executives from Fox and producer Chernin Entertainment.

Katherine Johnson will also be in attendance. She was awarded the Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, last year by President Obama.

Fox opens “Hidden Figures” in limited release on Dec. 25. It will go into wide release on Jan. 6.

“Hidden Figures” received two SAG Award nominations on Wednesday for best ensemble cast and for best supporting actress for Spencer. She also took a Golden Globes nomination this week for best supporting actress.
