Over the summer, Ice Cube teased the possibility of, “Last Friday,” a third installment to the Friday franchise. However, Chris Tucker wants fans of the films to know that he may not be on board for the project.

In a Global Grind interview promoting his new film, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk,” Tucker was questioned reprising the role of “Smokey” in the flick.

“I don’t know if I can do another one because I was so young and it was a moment in time…But um, we’ll see.”

The 45-year-old comedian admitted that he was recently flipping through channels and caught himself laughing at his performance in “Friday.”

The 1995 stoner buddy comedy was F. Gary Gray’s directorial debut. It stars Ice Cube, who co-wrote the film with DJ Pooh, and Chris Tucker in his first starring role. The film details roughly 16 hours in the lives of unemployed Craig Jones (Cube) and Smokey (Tucker), who must pay a drug dealer $200 by 10:00 p.m. that night.

The success of the film spawned two sequels: “Next Friday” (2000) and “Friday After Next” (2002).
