The Lifetime Original Movie “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le” drew an average of 2.3 million total viewers Saturday night and was cable’s top non-sports telecast in total viewers.

According to Deadline, the film about R&B singer Michel’le and her abusive relationships with Dr. Dre and Suge Knight was the No. 1 program among adults 18-49 (1.1M), adults 25-54 (1.2M), women 25-54 (934K) and women 18-49 (836K).

Also, Saturday’s premiere of the one-hour documentary “Beyond The Headlines: Michel’le” averaged 1.9 million total viewers, retaining 83% of its “Surviving Compton” lead-in.

All together, Lifetime says it reached 9.4 million viewers across all weekend telecasts of the two projects.

Additionally, “Surviving Compton,” from Sony Pictures Television and Thinkfactory Media, was the most social TV program (excluding sports) on the day of its premiere, with 216,000 unique people generating 506,000 interactions across Facebook and Twitter.

“Surviving Compton” was the most social movie of the weekend with a total of 573K interactions.
