Grammy-winning singer Toni Braxton has been hit with a tax lien just two years after she filed for bankruptcy, reports The Jasmine Brand. The lien, reportedly for nearly $125,000 resulting from back taxes, was filed on Aug. 17 with the State of California. If she doesn’t pay up, the state will seize her assets.

The current lien comes not long after a judge dismissed a debt of more than $10 million she owed after her second bankruptcy filing. Braxton explained then that the debt is the result of accumulating health bills that forced her to cancel several performances.

Could her financial troubles be the reason why she’s decided to hook up with rapper Birdman? After all, he does like to spoil her with expensive gifts.

In the meantime, Braxton will hit the road for her “The Hits” tour next month, where she’ll perform some of her chart-topping R&B classicss, including “Seven Whole Days” to the mega-hit “Un-break My Heart” and “Breathe Again.”

As for her latest financial woes, Braxton hasn’t commented.

Throughout her career, Toni has sold over 67 million records, including 41 million albums worldwide. She’s won seven Grammy Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, seven American Music Awards and several other honors.

Toni Braxton serves as an executive producer on “Braxton Family Values” and the spin-off show starring her younger sister Tamar called “The Tamar & Vince” show on WE tv. She also appeared in the 7th season of “Dancing with the Stars.”
