9/23/16- Jacque Reid talks to Bree Newsome, the woman who scaled the pole in Columbia, SC to take down the Confederate flag. She lives in North Carolina and works as a field organizer for a local organization helping undeserved communities in the Charlotte area.
“Right in the wake of police brutality, the first reaction that you see from residents is raw emotion. It’s not an organized protest. We’ve got folks from around the state coming and folks from around the country here,” Newsome said.
