According to LALATE, Peter Thomas has been working on a RHOA spinoff that will be executive produced by Steven Weinstock, Carlos King, and Thomas — with the series set to debut in Spring 2017.

As LALATE first reported, Peter initially filmed footage for the series, tentatively titled the “Real Househusbands of Atlanta,” nearly two years ago. That project fell apart after Apollo Nida went to prison and tensions between Gregg Leakes and Peter grew. Then Thomas filmed a spinoff centering on his opening of Bar One Charlotte. At the time he admitted that he was also pitching a Southern version of “Vanderpump Rules” with himself as the lead. Now Peter has reportedly received a series commitment for one of his concepts from BravoTV.

The cast will feature Thomas, Cynthia Bailey, NeNe Leakes and Phaedra Parks. The show concerns the opening of Bar One Atlanta after the old Bar One went to bankruptcy, got sued and got evicted. This time around there is a twist: NeNe Leakes is set to be an equity partner, reports local ATL bloggers. Leakes will allegedly parlay it into a lead role where her ongoing tension with Cynthia Bailey will be reexamined.

Bravo will air the series next year, about the same time that Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss are hoping to get their restaurant spinoff series.

In related news, despite their looming divorce, Peter and Cynthia took to Instagram to honor what would have been their sixth wedding anniversary. Bailey posted a wedding photo and shared, “We were friends first.”

A few months ago, Cynthia revealed that she and Thomas were getting a divorce. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star told E! during ESSENCE Fest, “I still root for him. I want him to win. I still love and support him. We are just not going to be married anymore.”
