About 8,000 Chicago students get to walk through one of the city’s toughest and most dangerous neighborhoods to school safely because of a group of veterans. Thanks to the “Safe Passage Program,” Veterans are improving the lives of kids in neighborhoods with violent gang affiliations by walking them to school every day.
