Louisiana woman visiting family in Willimantic, Connecticut spent the holiday weekend in jail after she was accused of trashing a strip club with a bat because of the venue’s entrance fee.

Police say the incident happened at Ultra Violet Gentlemen’s Club on Saturday evening when 28-year-old Shantel Jones refused to pay the cover charge to enter the club, NBC Connecticut reports. She reportedly left the area and returned a short time later and was able to get into the club with the bat. She allegedly smashed the cash register and other property inside, notes the report.

No one was injured in the rampage, but police were able to capture Jones in the parking lot and place her under arrest.

“This type of belligerent behavior is grossly unacceptable and will not be tolerated within the City of Willimantic,” Willimantic Police spokesman Stanley F. Parizo Jr. said.

Jones was charged with breach of peace and criminal mischief. She was released after posting a $1,500 bond. She is expected to return to Willimantic for her court date in Jan 2016.
