It seems to be something of a celebrity trend lately to crash someone’s wedding or special event, making it all about you instead of the hosts, and if the hosts don’t recognize the celebrity or bow down in their presence then the hosts and guests are criticized and given a collective side-eye from social media.

We can add Kendrick Lamar’s name to the list of celebrity narcissists who get their kicks stealing the spotlight from newlywed couples. Some are calling Lamar’s wedding crash in Columbus, OH “the surprise of a lifetime,” – but one guest at the reception wasn’t having it, and demanded the rapper leave, TMZ reports.

The crashing took place at a hotel last month, and in this video you see Kendrick (in the green hat) hit the dance floor as Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” – getting his groove on until an older gentleman starts asking questions.

“You guys are in this party? Who got married?…Get the f*ck out!”

Of course, Kendrick and his crew had no clue who got married, and this only frustrated the man questioning him. TMZ reports someone else eventually realized it was Kendrick and calmed the scene before cops were called to escort Lamar out.

Peep the video below of Kendrick crashing the wedding.

Earlier this summer, while the N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton” was killing it at the box office, Billboard enlisted Kendrick to interview Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella – and the result was 25 minutes of candid conversation in which Kendrick gushed in the presence of his musical idols.

“Nothing that I’ve ever felt in my life—other than anything to do with my family—feels better than having a hit record out,” Dre tells Kendrick. “Every artist will agree with that. Having a hit record out is the ultimate high.”

“The best part,” according to Ren, “is making the music.” “And making the money,” Cube adds. “And hitting that stage. Those three things are why I still make music.”
