Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is going all in with Starz, the cable network that airs his successful drama series “Power.”

Starz today announced it has signed to a two-year exclusive overall deal with 50’s G Unit Film & Television, Inc. The deal calls for Jackson to develop new projects for the network and continue as executive producer on “Power.”

“Starz has been the perfect partner to make ‘Power’ the success that it is and I am looking forward to developing many more record-breaking series with them,” says 50.

Production on “Power’s” 10-episode third season began earlier this month at its home base at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. A 10-episode run has been ordered for season three.

“Power” season two averaged more than 6.8 million viewers per episode, tracking favorably to be the most highly watched-season ever for a Starz Original series.

  1. Power and Empire are two different shows and I don’t get why 50cent and others feel the need to compete. Why can’t we just be glad to have two majority black shows and enjoy both. There is enough room for both to continue doing a great job.

Soooo judging by the title you’re either an Empire fan or a Power fan, you can’t be both? Just another way to pit blacks against blacks. I don’t have starz so I’ve never seen Power but from all I’ve heard it’s a good show, people I know who’ve seen it, rave about it.
