HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Rapper 50 Cent, who filed for personal bankruptcy last month, is trying to lease his Connecticut home valued at nearly $8.3 million.

The Hartford Courant reports the disclosure came Wednesday during a meeting of creditors. The meeting was conducted by U.S. Trustee, a federal agency that oversees bankruptcy proceedings.

Stephen Savva, a lawyer for 50 Cent, says no deal had been reached to lease the Farmington mansion, which the rapper purchased in 2003. Court filings show he’s been paying $72,000 a month to maintain the property.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, filed for bankruptcy last month after a New York City jury ordered him to pay $7 million to a woman who said he posted online a sex tape she made with a boyfriend.
