And so the plot thickens.

If anyone wondered why Rachel Dolezal’s family chose to out her as white last week, Dolezal suggests it is because of a sex assault charge against Dolezal’s older brother, and a plan by her parents to damage her credibility, according to the New York Daily News.

Apparently, Rachel had been assisting a victim who had accused her biological (i.e. white) older brother of child molestation in Colorado, and previously suggested the timing of her Montana-based parents’ media interviews about her performative racial identity was connected to the case.

The News reports that Joshua Dolezal, 39, was charged in 2013 with four felony counts of sex abuse of a victim who was a minor at the time. At this time, Joshua remains out on bail, but the Clear Creek County is set to go to trial later this summer, sources confirmed.

Rachel became estranged from her parents Larry Dolezal and Ruthanne Dolezal and cut off contact with them sometime after her 2004 divorce, according to The News. The Dolezal parents had adopted four black children, and Rachel took her adopted brother Izaiah Dolezal to live with her when he was a teen.

I also want to know after all these years why her parents decided to out her. All I can think of is because she is going against her pedophile brother.

I am hearing a lot of hypocrasy in these comments.
If we say we want a world where we are judged ” not by the color of our skin, but by the content of their character”, then why don’t we talk our what this woman has done for society?
Why do I care if she is black or white, or who her parents are? What ever happened to “I have a dream…”

Sorry but this woman has issues. If you will lie about who you are, I you will lie about anything else. She could have done the kind of work she was doing and not deny who she was. This makes me wonder if she lied to go into the “black world” but want to be able to put her “whiteness” back on when she gets tired of black folks. I do not trust her. And it has nothing to do with being white and in the NAACP. NAACP was help created by some whites and some whites go to black colleges even are professors at black colleges so again, it is SOMETHING that cause her to DECEIVE black folks. And I am not mad at her parents for revealing who she is. If this was a black woman lying about being white and trying to deny her black family, we as blacks would be upset as well. There is no way to spin or defend what this woman did.

I luv what author Terry McMillan had to say regarding this phony bitch-“I wonder what race Rachel would become if she got stopped by the police”?

She lied. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. She’s a liar. When someone lies on their job application they are fired, case closed. Why are we making this a debate?

I agree Renee. And if this was a black person trying to be white while denying their black family, EVERYONE including whites will degrade that black person. Many blacks have been degraded for trying to “act” white and “look” for having plastic surgery, skin looking lighter, etc and they are jumped on with no pause. This women LIED about being something else. I am hearing the few “:excuses” from some and I am quick to say, “where were these excuses when black try to go for white and say they feel more close to white folks then blacks”? We do not give those blacks no pass and neither should this woman get a pass all because some folks are happy a white woman wanted to pass for black.

Six of one, half-a-dozen of the other…who cares why? She chose to pretend to be black– no correlation, no justification. White folks have been molesting each other since the beginning of time- n!ggas, too. Shame on that woman for trying to muddle the waters by wearing 2015-style blackface and blaming her parents for the world finding out!
