Although “incredibly hectic lives” was cited as the reason behind the end of Tiger Woods’ three-year relationship with Lindsey Vonn, a friend of the Olympic skier revealed the split had more to do with Woods falling back on bad habits.
Chatting with the Daily Mail, the friend mentioned that Woods cheated on Vonn with a “faceless, nameless woman.”
“He had a relapse in the sex department,” the friend told the publication. “Lindsey found out about women again. Always while he’s on the road. Just like when he was with Elin.”
The Elin referenced by the friend is Elin Nordegren, Wood’s former wife. According to reports, Nordegrin divorced Woods after she found out about him cheating on her with dozens of women.
The friend’s revelation comes after Vonn dumped Woods last week, posting on Facebook that the relationship was over because they “both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart.”
So much for that reason.
As for his latest straying, the source revealed that the incident took place after Woods withdrew from the Farmer’s Insurance Classic in San Diego back in February.
“You have to understand, while it’s not right, it’s not really wrong either. Tiger isn’t married. He doesn’t really drink or do drugs. So what else does he have when he can’t afford to lose again? He is allowed to find some relief.”
“Most men would drink over such losses. Tiger has sex over it. Usually with local hookers whom he pays exorbitant amounts to, probably so they will want repeat business and won’t tell,” the friend continued.
Once someone spotted Woods with the other woman, Woods reportedly came clean to Vonn about his extramarital activities.
“Yes, Tiger cheated again,” the source reportedly added. “But it wasn’t with anyone special. He really wanted Lindsey to be the one. But he blew it again. He can’t help himself. He’s got an addiction. He relapsed. Knowing Tiger, he doesn’t even see it as cheating because there’s no romance or feeling there. It’s just a stress reliever, like a high-ball or two after a bad day.”
