Life continues to be challenging for former television reporter and now marijuana activist Charlo Greene.

According to KTUU, police in Anchorage, served search warrants at Greene’s Alaska Cannabis Club on Friday (March 20). Authorities took marijuana as well as impounded a Dodge Dakota and a Jeep Liberty.

The club received the warrants after police received reports of illegal marijuana sales.

The Huffington Post noted that it is still illegal to sell marijuana in Alaska, despite voters approving a ballot measure to legalize the recreational use of the drug.

“We don’t sell any recreational marijuana. We don’t sell any medical marijuana. This is a place for cardholders to come and share their own cannabis,” Greene told the KTVA, adding that the Cannabis Club doubles as a home for medical marijuana cardholders, in addition to being a medical marijuana dispensary.

The raid is the latest involving Greene (legal name Charlene Egbe), who infamously quit her job on live TV in September after saying the F-word and announcing to viewers that she is supporting the effort to legalize the recreational use of marijuana in Alaska.

Detailing what happened as police carried away bags of items that were on the scene, Greene said she was “incensed” that authorities focused on executing their search warrant on her instead of directing their efforts on a stabbing and shootings that happened nearby just a few hours before.

Despite the raid, Greene revealed that she reopened the club on Saturday.

“By opening back up bright and early, less than 24 hours after the local police department’s failed scare tactic, we, at the Alaska Cannabis Club, have made it clear that the will of the people is stronger than any force they have — and we aren’t going anywhere,” she said in her email to the Associated Press.
