Recently, Ice Cube performed in Sydney, Austraila where he unveiled the trailer to his anticipated N.W.A biopic, “Straight Outta Compton.”
The film stars Ice Cube’ son O’Shea Jackson Jr. (playing Cube), Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre and Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E.
Also, it co-stars Carra Patterson, Keith Stanfield and Paul Giamatti as Eazy-E’s widow Tomica Woods, Snoop Dogg and the group’s manager Jerry Heller.
The film focuses on NWA’s rise to fame — coming from the streets of Compton, CA and making it to the top with their socially-conscious music about racism, life in the hood and police brutality.
“Straight Outta Compton ” is directed by F. Gary Gray and produced by Ice Cube with Dr. Dre. The biopic will hit theaters on Friday, Aug. 15, 2015.
