Queen Latifah has taken plenty of job titles and roles throughout her career as an entertainer. She has been a rapper, singer, acclaimed actress and talk show host.

But she’s now interested in the most challenging role and title anyone could ever take on: parenthood. At 44, Queen said she is ready to become a mother.

“I’m always thinking about [becoming a mother]. Hopefully one day it will be my blessing,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. “Being a mom is probably the most unselfish thing you can do.”

She doesn’t care if the baby is a prince or princess – not caring about the baby’s gender. Her only concern is that her household is a loving one.

“It doesn’t matter to me,” she said. “I just really want to be there for them through adulthood and for the rest of their lives.”

Rumor has it Queen is in a longterm relationship with Eboni Nichols. There’s no word if she will adopt, do surrogacy or conceive a baby naturally.

She, however, has a problem discussing her personal relationships and hasn’t confirmed a relationship with rumored girlfriend Nichols.

“I don’t have a problem discussing the topic of somebody being gay,’ she told the New York Times. “But I do have a problem discussing my personal life.”

Nevertheless, the cancellation of her second talk show has freed up her schedule for motherhood. Queen reflected on her show and its impact too.

“As I look back on it, I’m in shock at how many people have come on the show, supported the show and all the great things,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

She added, “I’ve been able to spend other people’s money to change people’s lives, which is the best thing to be able to do.”

Now she’s taking sometime to focus on her and her personal life. ‘I’m going to take a little time and focus on Dana,” she said.

She added, “focus on D-love for a minute and then I’ll come back out swinging. That’s how I do. You know me; I’ve been here for a while and I’m going to keep going.”
