Chris Brown is slowly but surely digging his way out of legal trouble.

According to TMZ, the singer recently settled a pair of lawsuits that cost him a total of nearly $120,000.

Brown’s Jan. 2013 tiff with Frank Ocean and his crew outside a Hollywood recording studio is now resolved. Ocean’s cousin Sha’Keir Duarte had sued Brown for over $3 million for injuries suffered at the hands of Brown and his bodyguards. TMZ reports this case has been settled for less than $20,000.

Second, Brown shelled out around $100,000 to settle a civil lawsuit stemming from his fight in Washington, D.C. almost exactly a year ago. On Oct. 27, 2013, Brown allegedly threw a punch at a fan who approached him for a picture outside a hotel. Brown was still under probation at the time, due to his assault of Rihanna in 2009.

Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, helped his client avoid probation, jail, and fines for the D.C. incident by pleading guilty to assault.
