Things are getting too real for the The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Apollo Nida, who was to report to federal prison in Lexington, Kentucky today at noon had not yet shown up as of 7:49 p.m. EST, according to CNN. He reportedly was at the home he shared with wife Phaedra Parks where an argument ensued.

Parks’ publicist Steve Honig confirms that Nida and Parks had an altercation after Nida showed up at their home earlier today.  TMZ.com reports the dispute was over Parks’ refusal to put money on Nida’s accounts and to bring their two sons to the prison to visit.

“Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests,” said in a statement to CNN Wednesday. “This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

Nida was sentenced to 8 years in prison after facing up to 30 years.  He must also pay nearly $2 million in restitution after he plead guilty to fraud and identity theft in July. Before his scheduled departure to prison today, Nida said he wanted people to know he regrets his mistakes.

“I want people to know that I am kind-hearted person despite my choices,” he told Forbes.com. “We all make choices; some good and some bad, but people can still be considered good people. I would give my last dime to any person that needs it and I have given my last to my family. I know that many people have a negative perception of me, but I do want people to understand that this situation is hard. I am truly hurting. I wish I could start over; do the right thing; possibly go to college and get a degree; and overall make better decisions.

This is Nida’s second jail stint – he previously served 5 years in a federal prison for auto title fraud, essentially the same crime that he was convicted for again this time.

Nida and Parks married in 2009.
