Another celebrity couple bites the dust.
That would be Michael Strahan and Nicole Murphy. Yes, dear reader their engagement is off.
Strahan’s rep, according to TMZ Sports, blames it on the distance between them. He’s based in New York and she’s in L.A. We thought absence was supposed to make the heart grow fonder not apart. There’s also the standard excuse that they’re both just too busy, etc.
Meanwhile, in other Michael Strahan news, the former NY Giant defensive specialist is being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday night.
It’s not surprising Strahan is being enshrined because he had one objective in mind when he came to the Giants as a second-round draft pick in 1993 out of Texas Southern.
“My goal when I first started was just to make a little money so I didn’t have to move back to my parents’ house,” he says. “I didn’t want to disappoint my parents. So that was my goal, to kind of just make my parents proud, make them happy, play as hard and just do the best I could do.”
That he did and look where it got him.
