New York Knicks have signed former NBA champion Lamar Odom, who was out of the league this season. His reality show and subsequent divorce-in-progress from Khloe Kardashian made more headlines than his game in the last two seasons he played.

The move gives new president Phil Jackson an offseason to look at the versatile forward who thrived in his system. Odom helped the Los Angeles Lakers win NBA titles in 2009 and 2010, and was the Sixth Man of the Year in 2011, Jackson’s final season as coach.

But Odom, who has dealt with rumors of drug abuse,  has never captured that success again. He last played in the NBA with the Clippers in 2012-13, averaging 4.0 points in about 20 minutes per game, and appeared in two games for a team in Spain this season.

God is good all the time & all the time good. When one door closes, God has the power to open many more, so Lamar if you don’t see that God has had your back, I feel for you. Take this gift from Phil Jackson and show the world what you are capable of – it won’t happen overnight, but during this off season work like you did in 2009/2010 – forget about reality TV & Khloe (if you have to) and work on YOU!!!!

I’m so glad to hear this about Mr. Odom. I Hope and Pray that he turns his life around and finds true happiness and success in New York. Mr. Odom you have a second chance at something you obviously love, please do not blow it!
