“Single Ladies” may have run its course on VH1, but could the show find a new life at BET?

AlwaysAList.com says:

“Single Ladies” producers have put out feelers with other networks to see if there is any interest in picking up the show. When asked about possibly acquiring “Single Ladies,” a publicist with BET was tight-lipped, saying “We can not comment at this time.”

Despite playing coy, the publicist did not deny the network’s interest in “Single Ladies” when pressed further on the subject, according to AlwaysAList.

Talk surrounding BET and “Single Ladies” comes more than a week after the final episode of the show aired on March 24 after three seasons.

VH1 cancelled “Single Ladies” as it apparently moves in a different direction. The one-hour drama, which starred LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea and Denise Vasi, consistently drew solid ratings that increased each year. Season one of “Single Ladies” premiered with 2.9 million viewers, while season two had 3.2 million and season three boasted 3.5 million.

Should BET pick up “Single Ladies,” it would follow in the footsteps of “The Game,” which the network picked up a year after it was cancelled by the CW in 2009.

Tell us, would you still watch the show if it came on BET? Who were your favorite characters?
