During the 90’s the New York based trio SWV was known as much for their hit songs “Weak” “Right Here (Human Nature)” “Use Your Heart” and “Rain,” as their hard-partying ways. A combination of money and financial disputes broke the group up early in the next decade. Cheryl “Coko” Clemons, Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons all moved on to other things.

Coko recorded a moderately successful gospel CD, and Taj married then NFL star Eddie George, with whom she starred on the TV One reality show I Married a Baller. Lelee, already the mother of two, struggled after the group disbanded, temporarily living in her car until finally getting a day job. Now, the group is back with the WEtv reality show SWV Reunited which debuts tonight and airs Thursdays at 10 p.m.

If Tom Joyner was confused by the show’s name this morning, well, you can’t blame him, as the group has been performing together for some time at awards shows and even on The Fantastic Voyage.

“I know, we’ve been reunited since 2005,” says Coko. “I guess it just sounded good.

“We wanted Unbreakable, but they thought Reunited sounded better,” Taj adds.

When Tom asks who’s the main diva in the group is and why they broke up in the first place, Coko quickly takes the blame.

“They’ll say it’s me. I’m the Diana Ross, call me the boss,” she says.

What were the group’s biggest arguments about, she’s asked.

“The sun, the moon and the stars,” Taj remembers. “She’s an only child, she’s spoiled rotten and she was singing a lot.”

“We were singing a lot in the background,” Lelee adds.

Coko also needed extra manicure time, too, as she was once known for super-long nails, which she cut after having children and almost taking out her child’s eye.

“I really didn’t want to work that hard,” Coko agrees.

“It’s gotten much better,” LeLee says. If her voice sounds a little raspy during the early morning radio show, she says, it’s just because it wakes up hours after she does.

“We’ve been working a lot. My voice doesn’t kick in until 1. Don’t I sound crazy? My voice sounds like I haven’t slept in years.”

With these kinds of one-liners, SWV Reunited should be appointment TV. Watch the preview below and tune in tonight on WEtv at 10 p.m.
