Tyler Perry has an offer for you. If you come on the Fantastic Voyage next year, he’s actually giving cruisegoers a chance to be a part of an upcoming Tyler Perry project. Perry will have a casting director aboard the ship who will audition people throughout the cruise. Right now, Perry doesn’t know if it will be for part in the next Tyler Perry film or for one of his TV productions – “For Better or Worse,” “The Have and the Have Nots” or “Love Thy Neighbor.” The Fantastic Voyage 2014, which benefits the Tom Joyner Foundation, will set sail on the Carnival Conquest from Miami down to St. Thomas from March 16-23.

“I’m sure you will have a lot of people that will be good and a lot of people that will be like ‘what the hell,” Perry says. “But I have a rule – you have to audition after you have a few drinks. That’s going to really tell the truth right there,” he says. “If you don’t drink, that’s fine, I want you have about 10 cups of coffee and four Mountain Dews and come on up there and do your audition.

I’ve been on the cruise and I know how much fun that is. You know how you go through all week and all year? This is just a great time to let your hair down and have some fun for a great cause. If you don’t have hair, then let someone else’s hair down.”

Aside from doing unofficial publicity for the cruise, Perry is also promoting A Madea Christmas which opens on December 13th.
